My name is Laura Engel, and I am the founder of Educational Solutions and Consulting.  I have a Bachelor’s Degree in Elementary Education and a Master’s Degree in Educational Leadership.  I worked for the School District of Palm Beach County for twenty years. The first eleven years were spent teaching kindergarten, third grade, ESE, and engineering.  I then moved into an administrator role as a Literacy Specialist. My role as a Literacy Specialist entailed creating district-wide professional learning, training and coaching teachers, modeling literacy instruction, and writing literacy curriculum. My main focus has always been on differentiated small group literacy instruction. Although I worked for the public school system, I knew that it was not the right educational solution for my children, so I entered into the homeschool world.  I spent the first year of our homeschool journey running a pod out of someone’s house.  That year of homeschooling opened my eyes to see how many other options are out there for educating children. We have since transitioned to a Christian homeschool hybrid program, which has been a great fit for us for the past three years.  I believe there is an educational solution for every child, because we all are unique individuals.  Educational Solutions and Consulting provides individual and group tutoring, reading evaluations, curriculum consulting, and more.
